James is a great plumber. To replace my old broken water heater with a tankless, he charged substantially less than other area plumbers. But as happy as I was with his affordability, I was much more impressed with his skills and his character. He has a quiet, rather shy demeanor, but he was very easy, pleasant and reassuring to work with. I found him to be an honest, hard-working, considerate guy. Besides the water heater, I asked if he could add on several smaller jobs (garbage disposal, fixture replacements, etc). His work was impeccable. He likes to make sure he has everything just right. He kept in good communication throughout. I feel lucky to have found him, and he will absolutely be my go-to guy for any future plumbing needs. ~ Carol C

This review is a little late. A couple weeks ago a water heater at my rental stopped working. I called around and the soonest I could get anybody out would have been a week. However, after reading James's reviews, I called him. He was out there within an hour. He was able to determine that instead of replacing the water heater at $1400 he would be able to repair it after the parts place opened the next day. He did in fact do just that. He got the parts cleaned it all up. Got it working again for less than half of what a new water heater would have cost. Si, James will be my new go to. James came and did the job in one day. Workmanship was good. I know if there was any issue down the line that he'd definitely come and help, within reason. He was ultra-respectful to my toddler sleeping, even though I said to not worry about it. He took extra time to ensure the demo work wasn't any more than needed. I wouldn't have an issue calling him for help again. Update 12/18 I cannot recommend James enough, he came through in a clutch play today. I needed something done and he did it. If you need a plumber, call. Update 1/2/24 There was a leak at my meter, James came out and worked with BH after hours and we still have gas and heating on this cold night. Wow. ~ Dylan

We have used J S Plumbing twice now. Both times were emergencies in our home (one a leaking hot water heater and one water backing up into our basement when we ran any water). We have a large family with special needs kids and it’s very difficult to go without water for any amount of time. JS Plumbing was at our house within two hours of my first phone call on both occasions and worked hard to get the issues resolved quickly, even when it was a challenging project. We were very very satisfied with the quality of work and with what we were charged and will be loyal customers. We had previously tried another popular local plumber and had a very different experience where it took a long time for someone to come out, we were charged a high amount per hour even though they were taking frequent smoking breaks outside and the quality of work done was not great. ~ Erin R

J S Plumbing LLC has our respect and our gratitude. Prompt response time and due diligence through even the toughest of jobs!! The other plumbing companies didn't have time for us, a spot on the "if we have time list" was all we got from them. Not with J S Plumbing!!! He took the call and was on site in an hour. The submersible water tank went out and he worked until past 12am to make sure that we have running water for our morning routine. James is quite literally a house saver! I am beyond grateful for his services. I had drill over the weekend and came back to a broken hot water pipe under a basement sink. This was all on a saturday mind you. The basement flooded about 4 inches within 15 minutes but, I called James and he came ASAP!! He quickly replaced two old pipes that were rusted and rotted away and helped install a new bathroom vanity/faucet. He also helped fix and replace a very bold toilet drainage part and snaked the shower pipes. This man is quality through and through and I'm so happy he was availble to help. ~ Kevin D

JS came out today and the service was FANTASTIC. He replaced part of our shower when it was beyond my abilities (or want to do) and 1hr later it was presto-done! As we are redoing 2 bathrooms one-after-another, he's going to be our first call for when we are ready to do the same thing again on shower #2. I called 3 other well-reviewed services in town and each gave 1-2 weeks for an appt but JS was able to come out same day & next day. He is very KNOWLEDGEABLE in his craft and even offered advice to save us money and minimize his benefit (which is so super kind, as most people would not offer advice that isn't monetarily advantageous for themselves and their business). He was prompt, communicative, flexible for my schedule, and the price for parts & service was great. Noticed our bathtub faucet leaking last night. It progressively got worse the next morning. I called JS Plumbing LLC hoping someone would be able to come over and fix it. I wasn’t sure if anyone would be available since it was Sunday and New Year’s Eve, but they immediately answered the phone and came over right away and fixed the leak. The plumber was kind and very understanding of our situation. We couldn’t be more grateful. I would recommend this plumbing company to everyone and definitely use them again. ~ Angela P

JS plumbing came the same day to look at our water heater, found one to be installed the next day! Came out and had us with hot water 4 hours later! It was a tough job because of where the heater was and how old it was but he did great! Left the area clean and communicated with us afterwards about some questions. The other plumbers quoted us at $300 higher and weren’t going to be able to replace it for a week due to ordering. He was professional and great to work with. James was amazing to work with! We called him in the middle of the day with some water heater issues and he was willing to come the same day to replace it. He arrived in a timely manner and was ready to get to work. He worked fast and efficiently. He saw some issues of our area not being up to code and he made it up to code for us. We were hit with a big surprise in our basement late Friday night. Thankfully we called James, and he delivered the best experience we could have hoped for. We were notified when he was on his way, and he came within 20 mins of us being informed; he thoroughly inspected our situation and did not leave until the job was completed, and we were happy. I called JS Plumbing for frozen pipes. He came the same day, while other plumbing businesses told me I had to wait several days for appointment. He went over the issues and thoroughly explained what was wrong. He repaired and installed new water lines, faucets which broke, installed a new toilet (cracked from frozen water) and much more. JS Plumbing showed up same day when we had a major issue with our sewer line. After dealing with another plumbing company, I believed I was going to have to excavate my yard / street. James spent hours trying to free our sewer of roots through our clay line. He completed the job as quickly as he could and his prices are unbeatable! He spent almost 2 days cranking away. We had our old gas water heater replaced with a gas tankless water heater. J S Plumbing was reasonable and quoted a flat rate so we knew what our final cost would be. James returned his quote within a day. His work is warranted for one year. He was responsive and polite. He cleaned up work area well after work was done. Had company from out of town when my sewer back up .it was 11:00 at night I called and immediately got a person to talk with James was just finishing another job as said he would be here in a half hour. He showed up in that time frame and was here till 2:30. Most certainly a God send . I've had no issues since and his fees were amazing I will absolutely use this company again ~ Victoria W

My outdoor faucet was on full blast and wouldn't shut off. James said he would be here in 15 minutes and was. He got the water shut off and went and got a part that needed replaced. James did a great job repairing a gas leak for us and also repairing a leak in our bathroom. He was willing to come towards the end of the "business day" and worked into the evening and his charges were very fair and reasonable. Excellent responsiveness and price! James was one of the few plumbers available on a Sunday to unclog our kitchen sink. He was contacted at 7:30 AM, came at 8:30 AM, and was done before 9:30 AM. J’s Pluming was excellent. I called first thing in the am when I realized we had a clogged basement toilet. He came out an hour later. Realized quickly on our pump was bad & suggested we replace it. James switched our water softner system to be after the cistern. He did all the plumbing so nicely. Did is why we trust him and call him if we ever have any plumbing needs.
